He was one of the few people who surived the apocalypse. It was a world of business, trading something for nothing. Everything was becoming automated and men lost their jobs to machines. Technology thrived and few knew how to live without it. They the plague came, at least thats what it was called. Not like the plague of old that killed off the better portion of living people, but this was a parasite that caused a new level of violence to appear in once timid people. The world's population literally tore itself apart. The only thing that saved the world from total elimination was that the parasite could not live outside the human body and was only spread through the blood. A small group of men banded together to help one another survive. In his old age, my grandfather began to lose his mind. He would laugh maniacly rambling about the tree of liberty being cleansed with the blood of tyrants and patriots. No one could make any sense of it. In the last days of his life I sat by his side. He was weak and strained to talk. He told me "The world I knew was a much darker place than this new world. People were beyond corrupt and would do anything to make money off one another." He winced with agony and then continued "Don't let this new world be corrupted, we've been given a second chance to create a better world" his body then fell limp in my arms. I shook him to wake him up but he wouldn't move. He had finally passed from this world, and few will ever know what trials he faced. That day I made myself a promise to make his dream come true. To build a better world than he had known. So thats a new idea I've been working on. Post apocalytic and stuff.

Pop Culture, The Rock Opera

So many pop songs anymore "speak" direcly to everyone. Hence why they become so popular until the next song comes along. Therefore it is easy to associate these songs-a-plenty to our lives. I'm thinking of writing a musical type piece except not writing any music to go along with it. Instead just picking from the plethora of anthems that have bcome pop hits.

I figure, the cliche story about boy finds girl, events transpire, boy loses girl. All ending up with some life affirming moral in the end.

Thoughts?

Fresh Slate

So I've had blogs about life, blogs about movies, blogs about my issues with the world.
